MRV&CO received, on Tuesday (15/10), in São Paulo, the Companies More 2019 award. The event, promoted by Estadão, highlights companies with the best financial results between 2015 and 2018. Developed in partnership with the "Fundação Instituto de Administração" (FIA) and Austin Rating, the award analyzed the balance sheets of 2,800 companies to define the ones that had the best results in each segment. The event was attended by the mayor, Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ).
Among the winning companies this year are large national groups, such as the banks Itaú Unibanco and Bradesco, and the giants Vale, Vivo and Petrobras. The compilation of the balance sheet data generated the winners in a total of 24 categories and also a list of the 100 companies and the 100 business groups of the Brazilian economy.
MRV&CO was in third place in the category Corporate Governance - open capital, accompanied by BR Petrobras who was in first and Fleury Group that won second place.
Austin Rating's executive, a consulting firm that helped compile the data for the Enterprises Plus award, Alex Agostini classified the winning entrepreneurs as "heroes", recalling that Brazilian companies have just experienced the worst crisis since the economic depression of the early 1930s. "The capital market will become the engine of Brazil’s economic growth, as it occurs in large global economies."
