ISE 2017: THREE ATTITUDES THAT MADE MRV ENGENHARIA A SUSTAINABILITY CHAMPION

All along 2016, WayCarbon and MRV Engenharia worked together to achieve a goal they have in common: to see MRV listed in the group of companies that constitute the BM&FBOVESPA Corporate Sustainability Index – ISE. As a result of 10 months of hard work and effort that involved qualified professionals from both companies, MRV is now officially listed in the ISE 2017 Portfolio, which is valid from January 02nd through January 05th, 2018.
Being listed in the ISE Portfolio makes you a member of a select club. Companies whose stocks are listed among the top 200 companies with good liquidity stocks are invited to take part in the process. Those companies selected are, invariably, recognized for their corporate governance, good environmental and social practices and their engagement to sustainable development.
In addition to adding an undoubted reputational value to the company, being listed in the ISE portfolio also adds important values to shareholders. Ever since its launch in 2005, the ISE portfolio gained +145.36%, in comparison with while Ibovespa gained +94.11% (data from Nov/22/2016). In the same period, ISE was also less volatile: 25.25%, compared to 28.05% featured by Ibovespa.
